Women
The Christ Church Women's Ministry is made up of women of all ages who desire to grow in their relationship with the Lord and to other women. We believe it is through relationships that we break down our "church" facades and get to the real stuff of relationship. We seek spiritual vibrancy and authentic transparency in the women of our church, and hope you will join us! Here is a highlight of our activities throughout the year.
Women's Bible Study
Knowing that only through time in the Word and prayer can any of us grow in our love of Christ. Our women's ministry offers several Bible studies throughout the year. All Bible studies are open to both Mandarin and East women, and invite your friends! Please note where each Bible study meets and fill out the form below if you plan on attending one of these studies.
+ Tuesday Mornings:
A Mother's Time: A Growth Group for Moms
Location: Christ Church Mandarin, 9794 Old St. Augustine Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32257
Time: 9:30-11:30 am (childcare provided)
Veteran mothers join Bible teacher Kim Skinner to encourage younger moms in everything from in-laws to menopause, terrible twos to empty nest blues.
Believing God
Location: Christ Church Mandarin, 9794 Old St. Augustine Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32257
Time: 9:30-11:30 am, beginning January 24th (Nursery/toddler care provided)
Join us as we work through a Bible study based on Beth Moore's "Believing God". Please let us know if you would like to join us and if bringing children (include ages) so that we can plan for nursery workers. +Wednesday Evenings:
A Woman of Wisdom
Location: Sylvia Spencer's Home (contact Sylvia, 233-3211 or ksrrspen@gmail.com for directions)
Time: 7-9 pm every other week, starting back up January 11th
Join us as we work through a Bible study based on Proverbs with Dee Brestin's book "A Women of Wisdom". This study meets every other week.
James: Mercy Triumphs
Location: Linda Belger's Home (contact Linda Belger, heathcliff1234@att.net for directions)
Time: 5:30-7:30 pm (no childcare)
A Bible study for ladies will begin on Wednesday, January 25th from 5:30-7:00 in the home of Linda Belger. James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple with Beth Moore's video study James: Mercy Triumphs. All are invited to attend. +Thursday Mornings:
Community Bible Study
Location: Christ Church Mandarin
Time: 9:30-11:30 am (childcare available)
Ladies, come join us for a study of the Gospel of John. Registration is now underway with a start date of Sept. 8, 2011. CBS (Community Bible Study) meets Thursday mornings at Christ Church PCA, 9794 Old St. Augustine Road from 9:30-11:30 AM while Duval/St. Johns County schools are in session. All are welcome. Childcare and children's classes are available, but these spaces fill up quickly. Registration is $25.00 for adults and $10.00 for children. The Book of Mark
Location: Deerwood (contact Kim Skinner 610-1671 for directions)
Time: 9:30-11:30 am (no childcare)
Join Kim Skinner as she teaches through the Book of Mark.
Branches Women's Group
The purpose statement for this group is: Like branches interconnecting on the vine, we desire deeper growth through fellowship, the Word, and prayer as women who are first loved by Christ and then by eachother. "John 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
The women's Branches group meets a few times a month and the activities vary. If you are interested in joining this group of women who pray, grow and just live life together, you can contact Sarah Ingram (singram@christchurch-pca.org).
