About the Gospel

The Gospel is personal

The good news of Jesus Christ is not just information, but is a power that saves. Sinners who deserve punishment for thoughts, words and actions out of harmony with God's desires, are accepted by God nonetheless- not because of anything we do, but because of Christ's obedience and death in our place. Grace, not our works or even our religion, is the power that changes us. We are called to respond to God's grace with faith: a joyous acceptance of Christ as our Savior and Lord, life lived in a dynamic relationship with him without fear of condemnation now that we are sons of God. It's a new kind of life, called eternal life. We possess it already!

The Gospel is cosmic

Jesus Christ doesn't stop with saving us. He will make right all that sin has made wrong. There's not much that doesn't fit into "all things"!

The Gospel transforms people

The gospel is good news to people whose lives have been strained and shattered in so many ways by a broken world or by their own sins, because it brings joy and healing and hope.

The Gospel transforms culture

When God's common people live in faith by the power of the Spirit, they serve an uncommon purpose- they become the presence of the future, here-and-now deposits of Christ's kingdom that is coming, used by God to change the world around them.

We are driven...

This is the gospel that compels us to live life on a mission to change things. We mentor at-risk children on the North side of the city, teach English as a second language to neighbors, host summer adventure clubs in neighborhoods throughout the city, share our lives with kids each summer at an orphanage in Mississippi, and introduce people to Jesus Christ locally and abroad.

We invite you to join us on the journey. You'll never be the same!
